Directions: Die, You Broke Motherfucker!
It struck me today that our medical system can legally kill someone. I am not just talking "Oops I accidentally sewed a bag of gummy bears into your spine, you have thirty-two seconds to live..." kinda of death, but also "You just cannot afford this surgery."
Also, they can force you into medical bankruptcy, and leave you in an enormous amount of debt for the rest of your life. I cannot think of any other profession that can buttfuck you as deeply as the American medical profession. Anywhere. At least the mobs have the good sense to just shoot you occasionally.
Same goes for the pharmaceutical companies. And what melts my marshmallow is these same drugs, made by American firms, are free or silly cheap in other countries. Countries they are trying to prevent us from buying our drugs from. If you even live close enough to one to get some.
Do we really need our poverty and near-poverty-level sick and infirm to just die and go away?
Why not instigate an option of being shot to death in the doctors office at time of initial diagnosis.
That would not work either, because you would have to pay for the bullet, the doctor and nurse visit, the tests, and the use of a corrupt-as-usual funeral parlor.
